The basket of typical products of Emilia is very rich: we have great Emilian DOP cured meats and cheeses, products with Municipal Denomination (De.Co), that are characteristic of each particular territory, numerous PATs, i.e. Traditional Agricultural and Food Products that have been prepared according to traditional rules for at least 25 years. This is a food heritage that must be protected.
Emilia-Romagna is a leader region in Italy, thanks to its number of products recognised with the DOP and IGP qualification. In total, there are 44 (19 DOP and 25 IGP) agricultural and food products in possession of European certification, and Emilia plays a very important role.

As far as PATs are concerned, the number of national denominations published annually by the Ministry of Agricultural Food and Forestry Policies amounts to around 5,000, 400 of which are from Emilia-Romagna.

Typical Emilian products are the perfect complement to accompany wine production, thus giving a complete food and wine offer, made up of combinations and experiences that recount the story of the various territories.
